This work interrogates the philosophical debate between chance and choice, as well as the multitude of perspectives that can be taken away from the work: the viewer can be either watching another person interact with the artwork or can be interacting with the artwork themselves. On the one hand, we like to think that as human beings we have the power to make choices free of any prior influence. On the other hand, determinism dictates that all our actions and choices have been predetermined by a multitude of previously existing causes. As much as we have apprehension for the unknown, it also draws us in a way, using the way we fear our own desire for knowledge about what lies behind each choice or door we take.
